Are you planning your own wedding at Helmingham Hall? If so, well done! It’s a much used phrase, but you really have chosen a truly stunning setting for your celebration.
Helmingham Hall sits in the heart of the Suffolk countryside and has been the home of the Tollemache family since the late 15th century. Above all, it remains a family home and the current generation of Tollemache’s maintain the custom of raising the two drawbridges every evening!
Turning off the main road, through tall iron gates your guests cannot fail to be impressed by the view toward the house along the tree lined drive. As you draw closer, the view opens up to reveal the house’s full frontage and surrounding parkland (to the north is a fenced deer park where, if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of the resident herds of red and fallow deer. The formal gardens and grounds are just wonderful. In the walled garden you’ll find long borders, filled with seasonal blooms. Weddings of all sizes can be accommodated and the staff in the Estate Office will guide you through the planning process, ensuring you make contact with the right marquee suppliers and caterers.
