A Sunshine, smiles and laughter filled Suffolk barn wedding with lots of personal touches

My home on the Suffolk coast is the setting for some truly special wedding venues, a favourite of which is Easton Grange, close to the market towns of Woodbridge and Framlingham. I regularly photograph weddings here throughout the year and it always feels exciting to turn into the drive, wait for the gates to open and get set for another wedding day.

Lydia & Ed’s was no exception - a beautiful bride (wearing a properly stunning dress), and handsome groom looking dapper in blue and tweed. Lots of happy, fun and cool guests plus more than a few personal touches (including the distances sign echoing their table names), all bathed in Suffolk sunshine. Just perfect.

Despite being a regular visitor to Easton Grange (I’m one of their recommended suppliers), I always resist the temptation to follow a cookie-cutter approach to photographing weddings here. Each wedding day is unique and reflects the personalities of the couple getting married so it’s only right that my approach to photos follows suit. However, a little local knowledge is a really helpful thing and being able to predict when and where to find the best light throughout the day is invaluable. Scroll down and see Lydia & Ed’s sunset portraits to see this in action.

Here’s a selection of favourite shots from the day - enjoy!
