Suffolk Retreats Wedding | Harriet & Adrian

How beautiful is this Suffolk Retreats wedding? Harriet and Adrian hosted their ceremony at church in the historic town of Clare followed with a reception marquee reception at this wonderful, relaxed Suffolk wedding venue. The day had mix of traditional and informal which came together brilliantly.

When Harriet and Adrian spoke to me about what they wanted in their wedding photos, the message was clear - a few family pics and portraits but otherwise to capture the day, as it happened and without being too obtrusive. This is always music to my ears and, to be honest, the number one priority for pretty much all the couples I’m booked by.

Bride and Groom hold each other, framed by the overhanging branches of a willow tree at Suffolk Retreats wedding venue. The groom wears a blue suit and bride a beaded lace dress and veil

The evening went with a real swing - in a nod to Adrian’s Irish heritage, the couple had booked a ceilidh band who got everyone up and dancing. From a photographer’s perspective, ceilidh’s always make for brilliant, high energy photos and I’m usually to be found shimmying my way across the dance floor, weaving between couples as I try and capture the action.

Harriet’s elegant dress was by US based design house, Justin Alexander, tastefully paired with a silver Whistles heels. Adrian and the chaps looked as handsome as you like in blue, tweed three-piece suits

I would love to shoot in this part of Suffolk again, so if you have booked your wedding in either Clare or at Suffolk Retreats, drop me a line and lets’ chat.
