Rosie and Jon | small autumn wedding with a cycling twist — Dominic Whiten Wedding Photographer Suffolk

My passion for cycling began about the same time as my interest in photography. That was several decades ago but getting out on my bike is something I still do regularly. During the summer, when not out shooting weddings, I’ll often have one of the three Grand Tour’s (Giro d’Italia, Tour de France & Vuelta a España), on the tv while editing. Imagine my smile then at discovering Rosie & Jon share my passion and had gone as far as naming their table plan after famous bike races, rider and frame builders :-)

The couple married at the always brilliant Easton Grange on a mild autumn day back in 2021. It was a time when we were coming out the worst of the pandemic and taking tentative steps back to something like normal.

Now, regular readers will know I’m a bit of a softie and love nothing more than a story with a bit of genuine human interest. Like many of us, the last few years seems to have made me more susceptible to the odd welling-up moment more than ever. So it was with Rosie & Jon, childhood sweethearts, whose lives had taken them in differing directions before finding each other again a little later in life. Sliding doors and all that. The ‘feels’ usually get the better of me as couples are exchanging their vows, which is kind of handy as I can hide behind my camera whilst discreetly composing myself!

You be hard pressed to meet a nicer couple than these two and it was a genuine honour to be part of their day.
