Rebecca and Ricc | an early spring wedding in Suffolk

Over the last few years, perhaps inevitably given the circumstances, I’ve been asked to shoot many more small weddings and elopements than ever. Travel restrictions and various other considerations have led many couples to opt for a smaller celebration instead. Rebecca & Ricc’s day was a case in point, however there were a few notable journeys made which made the day very special.

Small Wedding Photography at Bruisyard Hall

Rebecca grew up in Edinburgh and it was important to her that there was a Scottish element to the day. So, she arranged for a piper to play the couple from the barn along the drive to the Hall at Bruisyard, playing traditions highland tunes along the way. Ricc grew up in South Africa before moving to London for his work career. Given the difficulties with travel in early 2022, it was wonderful that his folks and several other family members could make over to the UK to be there with them.

Special mention also for Rebecca’s dress. Would you believe that was the gown Rebecca’s Mum wore when she married? How flipping lovely is that, eh!?

Here’s a selection of images from their day at Bruisyard and I’ll leave the final words to Rebecca herself.

Thank you so so much, for being so wonderful on the day, for the fabulous photographs and the quick turnaround, we couldn’t be happier! We had the best day and everyone has said how lovely you are. My Dad says he thinks they might be the best wedding photographs he’s ever seen!
