Frinton-on-Sea Wedding Photography | Rebekah & Josh

Get a bunch of old school friends together and there’s always a buzz. It’s that wonderful chance to catch up and chat with mates whose lives have run in parallel with your own. Shared experiences and lifelong connections. Wonderful stuff. So it was with Becky & Josh’s Frinton-on-Sea wedding photography a few weeks ago. Surrounded by school and uni friends, the day had a constant accompaniment of lively conversation, jokes exchanged and new memories made.

I’d met the couple at Emily & Rich’s wedding at Bruisyard Hall back in 2021 and jumped at the chance to be part of their day also.

Having lived in East Anglia since relocating from Kent ten years ago, I’d never visited to Frinton-on-Sea in Essex. Often hearing of its charms (sandy beach, beach huts, friendly atmosphere and relaxed vibe), I was looking forward to visiting. Sweltering 32°C heat hadn’t been in my list of expectations though! Fortunately, cooled by a stiff sea breeze and shaded by trees, everyone enjoyed a wonderful garden reception and the day had a relaxed feel throughout.

It also brought together some brilliant suppliers - see at the end of the post for details. Also look out for the really unusual (and surely extremely rare these days), 85 year old Ford plus a guest appearance from the couples bulldog in the cooler evening air. Finally, very special mention to Becky’s mum Gill, who spent months beforehand tirelessly preparing the garden to host the reception and arranged all the flowers for the day. She was up at dawn on the wedding day itself to make last minute adjustments and check all was well.
